This page contains important information about consultations. Please
read it completely and let me know if you have any questions.
*Consultations at my location are $50 for one person and only $45 for
two or more people. At your location they are $60 per person within Nassau County, Long Island. Outside of Nassau County they are $75 per person, plus an extra fee for travel time, transportation costs and (if need be) parking.
*I agree with all the popular bridal magazines that (whenever possible)
it is preferable to have your makeup trial within 6 weeks of your wedding day. I do not recommend having a consultation more than 3 months before your wedding.
*Please come to the consultation with a clean face, free of makeup.
However, do use any skincare products you normally use, including your moisturizer. If you are coming from work and feel you need to be wearing some makeup there, then wear your makeup the way you usually wear it with the exception of any mascara and dark lipsticks such as reds or plums that could stain your lips after removal.
*Bring a picture of you which shows how you normally wear your
makeup. It doesn't matter if it is a flattering picture, (not everyone photographs well, just one or two that show fairly well how you normally wear your makeup). We will need this as a reference point when we discuss and decide your wedding makeup and it has proven very helpful, so please don't forget.
*If you have chosen a lipstick or any other makeup item that you would
like me to use for the day of your event, please bring it to the consultation if possible. I highly recommend that you buy your own lipstick since you will want to have it with you on your wedding day anyway. I recommend the extra long lasting, no transfer lipsticks. Revlon makes a very good one.
*If you are coming to me, I will Email or fax you directions.
*A consultation alone does not confirm service for your wedding day.
Makeup service on your wedding day is assured when you put down a deposit to reserve that date. This may be done at your consultation or at a later date. I do not hold dates without a deposit.
*I have a strict policy of not doing consultations for someone who has
a cold, flu, virus or any other illness. I work on people's faces almost everyday, some of whom are brides about to go on their honeymoons and I do not want them (or any other client) to be afraid of having their makeup done for fear that they will catch something. So if you are at all unwell, please re-schedule our appointment. I am positive that this policy benefits all my clients and I thank you for your consideration!
*Feel free to bring examples of makeup styles you like that you may
have seen in a magazine or makeup book. I am always open to look at anything you might like to show me and we can discuss how that look would be on you and if it would work with the wedding photography.
IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CALL ME.
I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!
